La Crosse back in action at home again tonight
It wasn’t a great home-opener for the La Crosse Loggers.
Duluth came into Copeland Park and wasted no time in getting on the scoreboard. A five-run first inning led to a 9-2 win for the Huskies.
The first five hitters reached base before the Loggers recorded an out. The only bright spot for La Crosse was a two-run sixth inning and even that took some work.
Taylor Sanagroski walked and Nick Schranck was hit by a pitch on the next at-bat. A balk advanced the two Loggers to second and third, before scoring. After another walk and balk, Yahir Gurrola’s single brought in the second run.
At 7:05 p.m. tonight, the two teams will be back in action at Copeland Park.
