Loggers president Chris Goodell on Brewers rookie Jacob Misiorowski
Longtime Loggers president Chris Goodell joined to talk about Brewers rookie phenom pitcher Jacob Misiorowski, and how he compares to some past greats that have come through La Crosse.
La Crosse Talk airs weekdays at 6-8 a.m. Listen on the WIZM app, online here, or on 92.3 FM / 1410 AM / 106.7 FM (north of Onalaska). Find all the podcasts here or subscribe to La Crosse Talk wherever you get your podcasts.
The Loggers have seen some of the best pitchers in MLB history, as Goodell talks about the summers when Chris Sale and Max Scherzer were on the Loggers. Goodell also talks about the La Crosse Area Day matchup between Misiorowski and the Pirates ace, Paul Skenes.
The MLB sophomore was an LSU standout and first overall pick. Goodell says the Loggers have a good relationship with LSU, getting a lot of their players, but Skenes was a little more sought after elsewhere. We also talk Loggers of course, as they’re on pace to win the division for the first half of the season, which guarantees them a playoff spot.
