A few weeks ago, UW-La Crosse men’s track & field coach Josh Bucholtz stopped in the WIZM studio for La Crosse Talk to chat about the dynasty that he’s led the past 17 seasons.

La Crosse Talk airs weekdays at 6-8 a.m. Listen on the WIZM app, online here, or on 92.3 FM / 1410 AM / 106.7 FM (north of Onalaska). Find all the podcasts here or subscribe to La Crosse Talk wherever you get your podcasts.

The Eagles’ T&F team is coming off an indoor national championship over winter and, last weekend, its 32 WIAC title out of the past 33 seasons.

Bucholtz is trying to lead the Eagles to the trifecta this school year, after winning the men’s cross country and indoor national championships. UW-L just has one left to do, and Buchholtz talks about how the Eagles are a heavy favorites, led by phenom sprinter Sam Blaskowski.

We talk about where Blaskowski ranks on the best ever at UW-L, among runners like Andrew Rock, former Packers wide receiver Bill Schroeder, Terry Strouf and Isaac Vazquez.

The Eagles, which are coming off three consecutive indoor national titles and are looking to go back-to-back in outdoors this season, are the all-time leaders in titles with 37 — 21 indoor and 16 outdoor).
