
La Crosse’s Jarrett helps win 3 events, as UW-L wins 13th consecutive WIAC championship
Junior Lauren Jarrett swept the 100- (11.49) and 200-meter (23.85) dash titles over the weekend in leading the UW-La Crosse women’s track and field team to its 13th-consecutive WIAC title.
Jarrett set a facility record in both events. Her 200 time was also a WIAC championship record, breaking Carly Fehler’s 2015 record of 23.94 of UW-Eau Claire.
Jarrett, along with Julie Yang, Anika Reiland, Makenna Zak, also won the 400 relay for its fourth consecutive title. The 45.72 time broke a 2023 UW-L record and a 2015 WIAC championship record.
Also winning Saturday was Ana Plautz in the 400 (55.55) and Brooklyn Luebke in the 5,000 (17:15.77).
