
WATCH: La Crosse’s Kotlowski with two assists, as top-ranked Badgers blow out Bemidji St.
La Crosse’s Katie Kotlowski had two assists for the No. 1 University of Wisconsin women’s hockey team, as it advanced to the conference finals with an 11-1 win over Bemidji St. on Saturday.

The 11 goals tied the second-most the Badgers (33-1-2) have scored this season. They had 12 the first game of the year.
As for Kotlowski, who plays defense and is in her final collegiate season, her two assists came on back-to-back goals in the first period.
The first to Kelly Gorbatenko, while the second set up Cassie Hall.
Kotlowski’s two assists were a season high, but her career-high was set last season with three.

Teammate Casey O’Brien set a new school record for career points with a ridiculous six-point night — a goal and five assists. She now has 265 in her career.
With the win, Wisconsin secured its spot in the WCHA Final Faceoff that will take place in Duluth, Minn. next weekend.
