Onalaska’s Donarski perfect from field, as No. 9 North Carolina beats Louisville
Onalaska native Lexi Donarski was perfect Sunday, in scoring 13 points, as the No. 9 North Carolina women’s basketball team came back to beat Louisville on the road 79-75.
The Aquinas High School graduate was 5-for-5 from the field, including 2 of 2 from deep for the Tar Heels (25-4), who were down as many as eight points in the fourth quarter.
The shooting guard added two rebounds, a steal and had two turnovers in a team-high 37 minutes.
Donarski, in her final collegiate season, has now scored in double figures eight of her last 11 games. Over that stretch, the Tar Heels are 10-1 and have won seven in a row.

North Carolina is the only team unbeaten on the road.
The Tar Heels started slow, down 20-14 after the first quarter, and were down eight with 9:01 remaining, but kept chipping away at that lead. With 1:53 remaining, Donarski hit 1 of 2 free throws to finally tie the game at 73-73.
Louisville retook the lead on the next possession but NC scored on consecutive possessions to go back on top and held on.
Next up, North Carolina plays Thursday night at No. 11 Duke, which will be on ESPN. The Tar Heels beat the Blue Devils (21-7) in overtime back on Jan. 9 53-46. The win came four days after losing to Notre Dame (24-3), which is now the top-ranked team in the country.
