Onalaska native Lexi Donarski and the North Carolina women’s basketball team have cracked the Top 10 in the NCAA.
The Tar Heels (23-4), fresh off beating intra-state rival, 10th-ranked NC State, moved up three spots in the polls to No. 9 overall.
Donarski, who is in her last collegiate season, has scored in double figures in seven of her last nine games.
The guard who has started every game this season, is shooting 40% from beyond the arc, hitting 2.2 3-pointers per game. She’s also averaging 1.9 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.1 steals and .7 turnovers in 28.3 minutes per game.
North Carolina next plays at Syracuse at 5 p.m. Thursday, before back-to-back games on ESPN against Louisville and No. 11 Duke at Cameron Indoor.
