La Crosse’s Kotlowski, No. 1 Badgers face off against sixth-ranked Minnesota-Duluth
La Crosse’s Katie Kotlowski and the top-ranked University of Wisconsin women’s hockey team has its toughest stretch of the regular season over the next two weekends.
Friday and Saturday’s matchup with No. 6 Minnesota-Duluth could be a bit of a trap game, as the Badgers have rival, third-ranked Minnesota next on the schedule.
Wisconsin (25-1-2) is coming off just one of three games it hasn’t won this season. Sunday, the Badgers tied No. 10 St. Cloud State, 2-2. They did win the shootout and also beat the Huskies they day before, 5-2.
Kotlowski, in her final collegiate season, plays defense for Wisconsin, which remained the top-ranked team in the nation, despite the tie.
Back in mid-October, Wisconsin beat Duluth 5-1 and 7-3 on the road.
