Wisconsin falls to Maryland, drops 2 of 3 after cracking Top 20

After cracking the Top 20 two weeks ago, the University of Wisconsin men’s basketball team has dropped two out of the past three games.
The No. 17 Badgers fell 76-68 to Maryland on Wednesday, two games after losing to UCLA.
Wisconsin (16-5) shot 37% from the field, including 9 of 27 from deep, while the Terrapins nailed 12 off 24 from beyond the arc.
John Tonje had 23 points on 8-of-16 shooting, while the rest is UW shot 14 of 53.
Next up, Wisconsin hosts Northwestern at 1 p.m. Saturday.
