La Crosse’s Lauren Jarrett breaks NCAA DIII record for UW-L
One meet into the indoor season and UW-La Crosse sprinter Lauren Jarrett already set a NCAA Division III record.
The junior from La Crosse won the 60-meter dash Saturday at UW-L’s new Hetzel Fieldhouse in 7.37 seconds at the Pat Healy Classic.
The old record was 7.40 seconds, set in 2018 by University of Massachusetts-Boston’s Wadeline Jonathas.
Jarrett’s time also broke her own school record of 7.41 set last season
In the 200, Jarret also set a school and facility record in winning in 24.26.
Her time there currently ranks sixth in NCAA Division III history.
The UW-L track & field team will be on the road Friday for the UW-Whitewater Pentathlon and Saturday for the UW-W Warhawk classic.
