It was Kotlowski’s 160th career game. She plays defense for Wisconsin (25-1-1), so there isn’t much in terms of statistics, though she did get a two-minute penalty on Saturday.
The Badgers were up 2-1 after the first period and 4-1 after two.
This is the fifth consecutive win for UW, since its first tie of the season. Both Wisconsin’s lone tie and loss have come to second-ranked Ohio State (20-5-3), which is 1-1-2 against the Badgers.
As for Kotlowski, she is in her final collegiate season. She came in as a freshman and started on defense and really hasn’t left the ice.
She has two NCAA Championship rings with Wisconsin (2001, 2023), as well as last year’s runner-up finish.
