La Crosse’s Kotlowski, No. 1 Badgers hockey at St. Thomas on Friday, Saturday
The No. 1 ranked University of Wisconsin women’s hockey team is back on the ice, on the road at St. Thomas, on Friday and Saturday.
Katie Kotlowski, who’s hockey roots began in La Crosse, where she calls home, she plays defense for the Badgers, and is still looking for her first goal of the season.
Kotlowski, in her final collegiate season, said last week on La Crosse Talk PM that’s she’ll get one yet this season, which is always a difficult task for someone on D.
Wisconsin is 22-1-1. No other team in the nation has 20 wins. Every team ranked in the Top 15 has four losses or more.
Ohio State is ranked second in the nation. The Buckeyes are responsible for both the Badgers’ lone tie and lone loss. Ohio State, at 15-5-3, has also lost twice to Wisconsin.
UW plays at 7 p.m. Friday in Mendota Heights, Minn., and at 3 p.m. Saturday.
