Coming off a tie to second-ranked Ohio State, the No. 1-ranked University of Wisconsin women’s hockey team had little trouble with Minnesota State, winning 6-2.
La Crosse’s Katie Kotlowski, who plays defense for the Badgers (21-1-1), had two blocks in the win.

Wisconsin, which was up 6-1 until late in the third period, also got coach Mark Johnson got his 650th win.
The two teams are back at it Sunday at the LaBahn Arena in Madison. Like Saturday’s game, this one is also sold out.
