Onalaska native Lexi Donarksi and the 17th-ranked North Carolina women’s basketball team Sunday handed Miami just its second loss of the season.
Donarski started but played just 21 minutes, scoring five points on 2-of-6 shooting. She added three assists and a rebound.
The Tar Heels, who got out to a 21-14 first-quarter lead and never looked back, have now won 10 of their past 11. Their only losses this season have come to No. 2 UConn (69-58) and No. 25 Georgia Tech (82-76).
They’ll have their second-biggest test of the season Sunday, when they host third-ranked Notre Dame — one of only two teams to beat UConn this season. That game will be at noon on ESPN.
