Aquinas takes 2nd as team at state, while C-FC’s Duellman finishes fourth overall

A ninth-place finish by Emily Bagniefski helped the Aquinas High School girls cross country team become the Division 3 runners-up on Saturday.
The sophomore finished in 19 minutes, 52.6 seconds, while teammate Sanjana Musafir came in 11th (20:08.5).
Meanwhile, Cochrane-Fountain City junior Addy Duellman took fourth overall (18:56.9), while Independence/Gilmanton junior Taylor Sylla was eighth (19:15.9).
Westby came in third as a team, led by junior Elizabeth Curits, who took 12th overall (19:43.9).
In Division 2, West Salem took 11th as a team, led by Mia Olson’s 20th-place finish (20:08.3).
