The new pavilion at La Crosse’s Forest Hills Golf Course is more than 70% completed.
Retired tourism director Dave Clements joined WIZM’s La Crosse Talk on Thursday to discuss how he’s led the fundraising effort, which has just a few pavers left to get the campaign across the finish line.
La Crosse Talk airs weekdays at 6-9 a.m. Listen on the WIZM app, online here, or on 92.3 FM / 1410 AM / 106.7 FM (north of Onalaska). Find all the podcasts here or subscribe to La Crosse Talk PM wherever you get your podcasts.
The pavilion recognizes the golf course’s history as one of the oldest in the country.
The group is also featuring the more than 200 caddies, who learned life lessons while employed carrying bags and assisting with hitting balls on the course over the years.
