Hurricane upends MLB playoff picture, as Brewers wait to see who they play Tuesday with Bob Uecker on the call
They gotta play all 162 games.
Two games last week postponed because of a hurricane have come back to haunt the Mets and Braves — and keep the Brewers from knowing who they’ll face to open the playoffs.

A doubleheader makeup from those postponed games will determine who Milwaukee hosts Tuesday.
Hurricane Helene put on hold the last two games of the Mets-Braves series last week. They’ll play in Atlanta on Monday, beginning at noon.
That means the Mets could jump right on a plane back to Milwaukee for a playoff opener less than 24 hours later to face the Brewers in the wildcard.
The Mets are 1-5 against Milwaukee this season, winning the regular-season finale Sunday to help keep their playoff chances alive.
But there are three possible scenarios for the Brewers.
- A Braves sweep Monday would bring the Diamondbacks to Milwaukee.
- If the Mets sweep, that, too, sends Arizona to Wisconsin to face the Brewers.
- If the Mets and Braves split, New York comes right back to Milwaukee, where they spent the weekend.
That last scenario is most likely, because whoever wins the first game has little incentive to win the second and would likely try and save its pitching staff.
