Badgers volleyball bounces back from loss with sweep of Northwestern
EVANSTON, Ill. — The seventh-ranked University of Wisconsin volleyball team bounced back from an upset loss this week to sweep Northwestern 3-0 (25-16, 25-16, 25-15) on Saturday night.
The Badgers (7-4, 1-1 BIG) were coming off a 3-2 loss to No. 18 Minnesota. Wisconsin has only beaten one ranked team this season, and that was 3-2 over No. 23 Baylor. The Badgers’ other three losses have come to No. 6 Louisville, No. 1 Texas and No. 5 Stanford — all by 3-1 scores to start the year.
UW senior Sarah Franklin had 11 kills to lead the team — the eighth time she’s led the team this season.
Next up, Wisconsin heads to Rutgers on Wednesday night.
