The high school football season is already half over and WKTY will cover two games in the Mississippi Valley Conference in Week 5.

Holmen @ Tomah

The Holmen Vikings continue to be the cream of the crop in the MVC as they’ve won 3 consecutive games and remain the only team in the conference with a 2-0 record. Jake Barth has run for more than 500 yards and 4 touchdowns, while quarterback Alex Berget has run for 5 touchdowns and thrown for another. The Vikings blanked Baraboo last week 31-0. Tomah lost to rival Sparta last week 49-21. The Timberwolves are 1-3, 1-1 on the season.

Onalaska @ Logan

A week after outlasting Central 42-38, including scoring 21 points in the 4th quarter, the Onalaska Hilltoppers will try to keep up with their high scoring ways as they travel to La Crosse Logan. Senior quarterback Ian Kowal was 21-27, 307 yards and 5 total touchdowns in last week’s win. The Hilltoppers have won and lost every other game so far this year in their 2-2 record. Logan lost their first game of the season last week 30-28 in a road contest at Reedsburg. Dual threat quarterback Bradley Check has accounted for over 1,100 yards of total offense and 14 touchdowns.
