One more game Monday, on the road in Thunder Bay, Ontario, before the La Crosse Loggers baseball team is back at Copeland Park.
With a win Monday, the Loggers look at taking 3 of 4 from the Border Cats (26-21), after getting a victory Saturday, and splitting Sunday’s doubleheader, losing 9-4, then winning 14-2.
The Loggers (26-20) are just 4-8 to begin the second half of the season — starting things off 0-5 — after winning their division to end the first half to guarantee a playoff spot.
Last year, La Crosse was the worst team in its division in the first, then won the second half and came within a game of the Northwoods World Series.
