The left fielder broke a seventh-inning tie with a grand slam, propelling the La Crosse Loggers baseball team to a 10-8 win over Mankato at Copeland Park.
The MoonDogs (17-15) ended up getting two more runs in the eighth and ninth, but Wadas’ granny was the difference.
Gabe Mitchell also hit a two-run home run for the Loggers (21-12), who run it back with Mankato at Copeland Park again at 6:35 p.m. Tuesday.
