The La Crosse Loggers baseball team’s nine-game win streak came to an end Thursday, losing to Thunder Bay 12-3 at Copeland Park.
Five combined runs in the second and third innings pretty much did in the Loggers (19-10), but the Border Cats (14-15) tacked on four more in the ninth to make things a real blowout.
The two teams rematch again Friday in La Crosse, before the Loggers host Eau Claire (14-17) for two over the weekend.
The Loggers still lead the Great Plains East division by two games.
Meanwhile, the La Crosse Steam softball team has off until Sunday doubleheader at Copeland against Madison.
