Over 450 fans at Copeland Park on Wednesday night to watch the second-ever home game for the La Crosse Steam softball team.
And the Steam kept its home record an unbeaten 2-0, with a 10-3 win over the Minot Honeybees.
Things didn’t start off great for the Steam, giving up three runs in the top of the first.
But, all that was put to rest in the bottom half of the inning, when La Crosse answered with eight runs, including a two-run shot to get things started from Calli Janik.
La Crosse is now 2-4 on the season, as it gets set to host the Mankato Habaneros on Saturday and Sunday at Copeland.
