WKTY Cares supports Holmen’s North American Squirrel Association
The community donation from WKTY Cares in May goes to the North American Squirrel Association. (n.a.s.a.), which works hard in the Coulee Region by creating and supporting access to the outdoors for persons with disabilities.
There are hundreds of friends and neighbors impacted by its work annually.
Thanks to our sponsors, Performance Foods Service and Kratt Lumber, WKTY Cares is proud to make a $1,000 donation to support n.a.s.a. biking and kayaking programs specifically.
It has so many other helpful programs, including adaptive PE classes, adaptive water and snow skiing, a pontoon boat on Lake Onalaska, with all volunteer captains, track chairs and more.
All n.a.s.a. equipment is free to reserve for those that need it, including veterans, the elderly and those with disabilities.
The association is also getting ready to open Remmington Hills All Abilities Park in Holmen this summer. Stay tuned to their Facebook page for details on the ribbon cutting!

The North American Squirrel Association was formed in order to:
Help the physically challenged and elderly enjoy hunting and fishing opportunities and recreational activities.
Support and aid in events sponsored by the Wisconsin and Minnesota Departments of Natural Resources. Such events include early disabled white tail deer hunts and duck hunts.
Aid individuals and other organizations with similar goals and objectives.
Contribute to the education of young people interested in the pursuit of outdoor activities related to hunting, fishing, and conservation.
