Logan, Central girls basketball teams get first-round playoff wins

Logan and Central high school girls basketball teams won opening round Division 2 playoff games on Tuesday.
No. 9 Logan beat eighth-seeded Tomah 52-46 on the road. The Rangers (6-19) now play at No. 1-seeded West Salem (20-4) at 7 p.m. Friday.
Sixth-seeded Central beat No. 11 Portage 59-35. The River Hawks (10-18) will play at DeForest, which has the third seed.
Second-seeded Onalaska (16-7), which had a bye, will host Sparta on Friday. The seventh-seeded Spartans beat Baraboo 51-33 on Tuesday.
In Division 3, No. 2 seed and seventh-ranked Aquinas (21-3), which had a bye, will host seventh-seeded Viroqua on Friday. Viroqua beat Stanley-Boyd 48-24 on Tuesday.
