La Crosse native Lexi Donarski and the 24th-ranked North Carolina women’s basketball team gets one of its toughest matchups of the season Thursday.
The Tar Heels (15-6, 4-1 ACC) look to knock off No. 5 NC State (18-2, 3-1 ACC) on the road.
Donarski is third on the team in scoring, averaging 10.3 points. The 6-foot guard is shooting 36.8 percent from the field and 35.6 percent from beyond the arc — hitting 2.3 3-pointers a game.
Offensively, she’s been streaky from the field, hitting double figures just twice in her last six contests.
That was preceded by double-figure marks in six of seven games, including outputs of 23 and 22 points.
North Carolina has won four of five and eight of 10, but is coming off an 81-66 thrashing from Virginia last weekend.
