La Crosse’s Donarski, No. 20 Tar Heels take on Miami team Thursday that was in elite eight last season
La Crosse native Lexi Donarski and the 20th-ranked North Carolina women’s basketball team is back at it Thursday night against a Miami squad that was in the elite eight last season.
The Tar Heels (14-5) have won eight of nine, including over three Top 25 teams — the latest of which was No. 13 Louisville, where Donarski was second on the team in scoring with 13 and nailed 3 of 7 from deep.
The 6-foot senior shooting guard is averaging 10.3 points, 3.1 rebounds a game. She’s hitting 36.3% from beyond the arc, leading North Carolina with 45 3-pointers this season.
Miami (12-5), ranked just outside the Top 25, has lost four of six, after starting the season 8-0.
Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m. The game broadcasts on the ACC Network through ESPN+.
