La Crosse’s Donarski, No. 20 Tar Heels struggle in loss to 21st-ranked Florida State
It was a struggle Thursday for La Crosse native Lexi Donarski and the 20th-ranked North Carolina women’s basketball team, as its five-game winning streak was snapped on the road.

On her birthday of all days, Donarski was just 1-for-10 from the field, scoring three points, as the Tar Heels fell 70-62 to No. 21 Florida State.
The loss also snapped a two-game win streak against ranked opponents. North Carolina had just beat No. 16 Notre Dame and 25th-ranked Clemson over the past week.
Donarski, who was 1 of 6 from beyond the arc, had hit 13 3-pointers over the past three games — going 13-for-29 (44.8%).
The output also snapped her streak of double-digit scoring games at five.
North Carolina was down as many as 21 to FSU (13-4) but pulled within three points, before eventually falling.
NC’s next game is home Sunday against Virginia (8-7) at 3 p.m.
