Aquinas girls basketball ranked eighth in latest AP poll
The Aquinas High School girls basketball team remains in the Top 10 of the latest AP poll.
The state runners-up last season are ranked eighth in Division 3.
The Blugolds (11-3) have played five ranked teams this season and are 2-3 in those matchups.
They lost to Division 3’s sixth-ranked Kettle Moraine Lutheran (11-2) and No. 4-ranked Edgewood (11-2), as well as Jordan (9-1), which is ranked fourth in Minnesota’s Class 2A.
The Blugolds beat Westfield (11-3), which is ranked 10th in Division 4, and Xavier (9-4), ranked 10th in Division 3.
Aquinas’ next game is Friday at the Midwest Players Classic, against Assumption. That game begins at 4 p.m. at the La Crosse Center. The two-day event features 12 games over those two days.
