La Crosse native Lexi Donarski scored 14 points, nailing 4 of 6 from beyond the arc in helping the North Carolina women’s basketball team blow out No. 25 Syracuse 75-51 on Thursday.
Donarski was 4-for-8 from the field. The senior added three rebounds, a steal, an assist and no turnovers in a team-high 38 minutes of action.
Donarski was following up a win on New Year’s Eve in which she scored a season high 23 points, nailing six 3-pointers, which was second-best in her career.
The Tar Heels (10-4) head to Notre Dame for a 4 p.m. game Saturday — the closest regular-season game Donarski will play to La Crosse this season. The game will also be on ESPN2.
