As the season moves into conference, games become all that much more important in Wisconsin because teams with a better-than-.500 conference record get an automatic bid to the playoffs, regardless of nonconference results.
The River Hawks are 2-0, after dispatching both Eau Claire North and Eau Claire Memorial in convincing fashion. Central quarterback Jude Alvarado has thrown five touchdowns and completed 70% of his passes in those wins.
Drew Kelly will be on the call for Central-Reedsburg, in a WKTY matchup thanks to Central sponsors Tostrud and Temp and State Bank Financial.
The other game features Holmen at Onalaska with Teague Fenwick on the call, as both teams look for their first wins, after facing stiff nonconference competition.
Onalaska fell 35-28 in overtime to West Salem, then lost 52-35 to Medford in Week 2, despite over 300 passing yards and five touchdowns from quarterback Adam Skifton.
Holmen lost to Chippewa Falls in its opener 17-14 and trailed River Falls by just 7 at halftime last week, before falling 35-7.
