WATCH: Holmen’s Taylor Kohlwey gets first MLB hit, in first career start

Former Holmen High School standout Taylor Kohlwey made his MLB debut Wednesday night for the San Diego Padres and got his first career hit.
Kohlwey, who also played baseball at UW-La Crosse, was 1-for-4 in a 2-0 win at the Toronto Bluejays.
The outfielder reached on an infield single with two outs in the sixth inning. In the ninth, Kohlweay was subbed out for Josh Hader, who picked up the save.
Kohlwey was promoted Tuesday from Triple A El Paso. He was drafted by the Padres in the 21st round of 2016.
Kohlwey had played in 650 minor league games.
