WKTY Cares about ORA projects

WKTY Cares presented a $1,000 check this month to Outdoor Recreation Alliance at Chad Erickson Park in La Crosse. 

Thanks to sponsors Kratt Lumber Company of La Crosse and Performance Foodservice for the donation.

Jillian Olson, ORA’s operations director, provided a tour of the new project site in the woods behind the pond at Chad Erickson Memorial Park.

ORA is working with various partners to bring a wheelchair-accessible treehouse to the Community Forest. You can see renderings of the project on their website.

Jed Olson, ORA’s executive director, explained that the entire treehouse will be accessible to all. All children will be able to get up to tree level and enjoy an awesome view of the trail below.
