No. 4 West Salem loses first of season, nipped by top-ranked Park Center

Peter Lattos and Carson Keopnik combined for 42 points but it wasn’t enough, as the fourth-ranked West Salem High School boys basketball fell 91-85 to top-ranked Park Center on Saturday at the Midwest Players Classic from the La Crosse Center.
Park Center (9-0) is ranked No. 1 in Minnesota’s Class 4A, while the Panthers came in ranked No. 4 in Division 3.
Jimmy Ware scored 21 for the Pirates, while Casmir Chavis added 19 points and CJ O’Hara had 17.
Lattos led all scorers with 22 and Keopnik scored 20 for the West Salem (11-1).
