Yelich, Peralta look to get on track at Philly, as Brewers go for 5 wins in a row
The Milwaukee Brewers look to continue their four-game win streak this weekend on the road for a three-game series against the Philadelphia Phillies.
PROGRAMMING NOTE: Brewers-Phillies on Friday will be on WIZM, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Tune in on 92.3 FM / 106.7 FM (north of La Crosse) / 1410 AM
Freddy Peralta looks to bounce back after two horrendous starts to open the season. The 25-year-old righty has an 11.57 ERA and has gone just four and three innings, respectively, in those two starts.
Peralta has managed to strike out 10 in seven total innings but he also has six walks.
Former MVP Christian Yelich is also looking to get going with just a .195 batting average. The 30-year-old did hit a grand slam last series — his first home run of the season — but is hitless in four of his last five games.
Pitching for the Phillies is 26-year-old lefty Ranger Suarez, who has a 5.87 ERA over two games.
Over his first four season, only last year did he have double-digit starts but they all came at the end of the year and they were solid.
In those final 12 games, Suarez had a 1.51 ERA with 65 strikeouts and 19 walks in 65.2 innings.
