For just the second time this season — and first time with its “Big 3” intact — the Milwaukee Bucks look to avoid three consecutive losses.

At 7 p.m. Monday, the Bucks host the Charlotte Hornets, having lost its past two games.

The Bucks are coming off a somewhat embarrassing 126-123 home loss to the Brooklyn Nets, who were without both Kevin Durant and Ben Simmons, while Kyrie Irving led a fourth-quarter comeback and finished with 38 points.

The Nets did have Seth Curry (19 points) and Andre Drummond (17 points, 12 rebounds, five assists), which they acquired in the James Harden trade.

Before that, in the last game before the all-star break, Milwaukee lost to an undermanned Philadelphia 76ers team, 123-120. Philly didn’t have Harden or, of course, any of the players it traded to get Harden — like Curry and Drummond.

The last time Milwaukee lost three consecutive games was Games 5-7 to start the season, when Jrue Holiday was out. Oddly enough, all three of those games were in Milwaukee — against Minnesota (113-108), San Antonio (102-93) and Utah (107-95).

The Bucks have lost four of their past five games, which also included the top team in the NBA, Phoenix. The only loss that’s a bit baffling is the one to Portland, which is essentially trying to tank to end the season.
