Logan High School’s homecoming football game Friday has been cancelled.

“The game was called off due to COVID issues within our football program,” Logan athletic director Jordan Gilge said in an email to WIZM. “All other homecoming activities will go on as planned.”

No other details were provided as to how the team was affected, due to COVID-19. The Rangers (1-4) are at Tomah next week.

It’s unlikely the game can be made up. Not how football schedules are consisted, plus the physical toll the sport takes on players.

The Rangers plan on having a homecoming parade at 2 p.m. Friday and its dance from 8-11 p.m. at the Logger Field pavilion. The volleyball team does not have a home game on its schedule during homecoming week. It is on the road Tuesday night.

Logan’s football team has one more home game remaining, Oct. 8, against Holmen.
