Some fun Aaron Rodgers’ stats; also some fun slaying Chicago Bears’ stats
Of Aaron Rodgers’s four touchdowns Sunday night in a 41-25 win over the Chicago Bears, the Green Bay Packers quarterback had three in the first half.
It marks the 30th time the 36-year-old has done that since he became a starter in 2008.
Only Drew Brees has more three-touchdown halves. One more, to be exact (31).
Of those 30 games in which Rodgers has thrown three TDs in a half, 10 have come against the Chicago Bears.
Rodgers was tied with one other player as the NFL’s all-time leader in destroying the Bears in a half — Brett Favre (9).
Moving to that fourth touchdown by Rodgers, a 39-yarder to Robert Tonyan. That put him over 50,000 yards for his career — Rodgers, not Tonyan.
Rodgers did this in 192 games, which is the fourth-fewest games ever needed to reach the milestone.
The win was also the Green Bay’s 100th over the Bears. Green Bay now leads the NFL’s longest games-played rivalry 100-95-6.
The teams have played every year but two (1922 and 1982) dating back to 1921.
