
Big third quarter gives Aquinas win in season finale

It may have been two hours from home Thursday night for the WIAA Division 5 playoff finale, but the Aquinas High School football team didn’t miss a beat against Lancaster.
The Blugolds beat the Flying Arrows 42-8 ending a COVID-19 interrupted season.
Aquinas (5-3) led 16-8 at halftime, before coming alive.
In the third quarter, the Blugolds offense erupted. Penchi, Lium, and Savoldelli all scored touchdowns to give Aquinas a 36-8 lead.
In the fourth, a 93-yard fumble return for a touchdown by Riley Klar sealed the victory over Lancaster (5-4).
The Blugolds end their season with two playoff wins.
