PIRATES AT BREWERS: Coverage with Bob Uecker begins at 6:35 p.m. tonight.
Listen on WKTY 96.7 FM / 580 AM.
Jhoulys (You-lees) Chacin gets the start tonight. The 31-year-old righty has had a rollercoaster season so far and has been struggling of late.
Chacin is 0-5 with a 7.07 ERA in his past six games. He’s 3-8 on the season after going 15-8 last year.
The Brewers offense will face Chris Archer. The 30-year-old righty is 3-6 with a 5.56 ERA
Christian Yelich has gone a season-high five games without a home run at Miller Park. The most he had gone without one before this streak was two.
The 27-year-old reigning NL MVP is, however, at the top of just about every offensive statistic.
He’s leading the league in home runs (27) — Cody Bellinger and Pete Alonso both have 27. He’s No. 1 in WAR (4.4), tied with Bellinger for first in slugging (.719), second in OPS (1.146) behind Bellinger (1.173), third in OBP (.458), fourth in batting average (.335) and fifth in stolen bases (17).
