Yelich streak on the line — hasn’t gone more than two games without home run at Miller Park this season
It’s almost a guarantee Christian Yelich hits a home run Tuesday, as the Milwaukee Brewers open a three-game series against the Seattle Mariners.

In 39 games at Miller Park this season, Yelich hasn’t gone more than two games without a home run.
The 27-year-old reigning NL MVP leads the Majors in home runs with 29. He’s hit 21 of those at Miller Park but hasn’t hit one in his past two games.
Before that, he went deep in three straight.
Last season, in hitting 36 home runs — 22 of which were at home — Yelich rarely put streaks together like he is now.
Yelich also leads the league in slugging (.744) and OPS (1.179). He is second in batting average (.342) and RBI (63), third in OBP (.435) and fourth in stolen bases (17).
The Brewers are coming off a 2-2 split with the Cincinnati Reds to open their 10-game home stand. Before that, however, they had lost five consecutive and seven of eight games.
Up against the Mariners, Milwaukee did catch a bit of a break. Seattle just traded its best hitter, Edwin Encarnacion (En-Car-Nah-See-On) to the Yankees. The slugger has 23 homers this season and has averaged over 37 home runs the past six seasons.
Zach Davies takes the mound with his 7-1 record and 3.06 ERA. The 26-year-old righty will face off against lefty Marco Gonzalez, who is 8-6 with a 4.38 ERA.
