La Crosse’s Kobe King eased into lineup in first games with Wisconsin Badgers
It looks as though Wisconsin Badgers men’s basketball coach Greg Gard is going to ease La Crosse native and freshman Kobe King into the lineup.
The Badgers opened the season with a pair of blowout victories over South Carolina State and Yale.
In his first-ever game, King, came off the bench Friday and scored six points on 3-of-6 shooting. The 6-foot-4, 200-pound Central High School graduate also grabbed three rebounds in 18 minutes — the most of anyone on the bench.
Off the bench in Game 2 on Sunday, King was again 3-for-6 and scored seven points. He played 13 minutes. Two other Badgers played more off the bench in that one.
King was 0-for-2 from beyond the arc in both contests.
Kobe King? with his first-career basket as a Badger. Ethan Happ still leads all scorers with 15pts, while Pritzl and Van Vliet have 10pts each for the #Badgers.
