Brewers SP Jimmy Nelson will miss “chunk” of 2018
Not only will the Milwaukee Brewers be missing Jimmy Nelson for a potential playoff run.
The starting pitcher will also be gone for a “chunk” of the 2018 season.
Nelson had successful surgery to repair a torn labrum in his right shoulder Wednesday.
Afterward, Brewers general manager David Stearns told Adam McCalvy of MLB.com that the right-hander will have to miss “a chunk” of the 2018 season while rehabbing from his injury. How long that means, isn’t clear.
Jimmy Nelson surgery update: He did require a labrum repair and is likey to miss “a chunk” of ’18, David Stearns said. How big a chunk? TBD.
