Thomas scores 20 as Iowa State pulls it out in OT

LUBBOCK, Texas – Matt Thomas scored four points in overtime to help propel Iowa State to another win.
The Onalaska, Wis., native scored 20 points, going 3-for-5 from beyond the arc and added six rebounds in the 82-80 win over Texas Tech on Monday night.

Thomas and Nazareth Mitrou-Long scored the first 11 points for the Cyclones (18-9, 10-5). The game was tied at halftime. ISU went up by as many as eight in the second half, before TT forced overtime.
Thomas’s three 3-pointers put him at 68 for his career, which is tied for 14th-most in a single season at ISU. He also scored his fifth career 20-point game (third this season) and it was his 55th game in double figures (18th this season).
