One of Jackson’s sons went to SMU in Winona, which does not have a FB team
Recently, Bo Jackson raised eyebrows with his views on football.
Not only did he tell USA Today he would have never played – which makes sense, it ended his career in baseball – but he also said he would never let his kids play (one of his kids went to Saint Mary’s University in Winona, Minn., about seven years ago – a school that does not have a football team).
The former Oakland Raiders running said: “If I knew back then what I know now. I would have never played football. Never. I wish I had known about all of those head injuries, but no one knew that. And the people that did know that, they wouldn’t tell anybody.
“The game has gotten so violent, so rough. We’re so much more educated on this CTE stuff (chronic traumatic encephalopathy), there’s no way I would ever allow my kids to play football today.”
