WKTY poll: Should Connor McGregor take Floyd Mayweather’s $15-million deal to fight?
Mayweather wants $100M for himself, will talk PPV split
Wednesday, on ESPN’s First Take, Floyd Mayweahter gave his terms on a potential fight with UFC’s Connor McGregoc.
The 40-year-old boxer, who retired 49-0 last year, said on the show: “We tried to make the Conor McGregor fight. They know what my number is. My number is a guaranteed $100 million. That was my number.
“We are willing to give him $15 million and then we can talk about splitting the percentage — the back end — on the pay-per-view. But of course, we’re the ‘A side.’ How can a guy talk about making $20 or $30 million if he has never made 8 or 9 million in a fight?”
Floyd Mayweather says he’ll “let” Conor McGregor fight him, but not for the $100M. Only $15M plus PPV split. Should McG take the deal?
