Antetokounmpo to begin mandatory military service in Greece

Giannis Antetokounmpo is headed for military service.
The Milwaukee Bucks 21-year-old forward, along with his older brother Thanassis, 23, will serve mandatory military service in his native Greece, accorinding to the Naftemporiki.
The two could be gone as long as three months, according to a release that states all citizens living permanately overseas must serve that long.

It’s more likely, however, they only spend a few days there – typical for star athletes.
Giannis is heading into, what most believe will be his final year under his rookie contract with the Bucks, before becoming a restricted free agent. Thanassis plays for the D-League affiliate of the New York Knicks in Westchester, NY.
A third brother, Kostas Antetokounmpo, doesn’t have to join the military just yet.
The 18-year-old just graduated from Dominican High School in Milwaukee, Wis., and just finished playing on the Greek national team. He will play for the University of Dayton (Ohio) this upcoming season.
