Koenig’s back-to-back 3s send UW to Sweet 16
The internet went crazy last night as La Crosse’s very own Bronson Koenig took down Xavier in the NCAA tournament.
So crazy, in fact, the Xavier Wikipedia page got trolled by fans (picture above).
Koenig’s back-to-back 3-pointers, the last one, of course, coming at the buzzer, gave Wisconsin a 66-63 win and the internet, including former UW center Frank Kaminksky, to go crazy.

The junior point guard finished with 20 points, going 6-for-12 from beyond the arc.
“I knew it was going in before it even left my hand. That’s a shot I practice a lot pregame,” Koenig said of the winner. “I just let it fly and I knew it was going in.”
Koenig also nailed a tying 3-pointer with 11.7 seconds remaining.
