WIAA tournament brackets set
City teams all have first-round byes
The WIAA boys basketball tournament begins Tuesday.
Getting the top three seeds in the Division 2 regional were Central, Onalaska and Logan, respectively.
All three teams have first-round byes and will host games in Round 2 on March 4.
Central finished the season 18-4 and ranked fifth in the final AP poll for Division 2. Onalaska ended 16-6 and ranked just out of the Top 10.
Holmen is seeded sixth in the division and hosts Ashland in the first round.
Aquinas has the No. 3 seed in Division 4 and also has a bye.
Outside the area, two teams to keep an eye on unbeaten Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau and Melrose-Mindoro. Both are 20-0.
G-E-T finished the regular season ranked No. 1 in Division 3. Mel-Min finished ranked second in Division 4. Both, too, have first-round byes.
