Packers roster full of playoff experience compared to Washington
Just fifth playoff game
for Washington since 1993
GREEN BAY, Wis. – With two consecutive losses to finish the regular season, the Green Bay Packers have at least one distinct advantage in the wild-card matchup this weekend against Washington.
The seasoned Packers are postseason mainstays with 212 games of playoff experience on the roster compared to the 76 for Washington, according to STATS.
Green Bay coach Mike McCarthy said Wednesday that his veterans counsel younger players all the time, postseason or not. He says they understand what it takes to get to the Super Bowl, though the focus is squarely just on beating Washington.
Washington will be making just its fifth playoff appearance since 1993. It lost a wild-card game to Seattle in the last appearance three seasons ago.
